After creating a table, you can apply an operation, such
as add, subtract, multiply, or divide, to the values of two items
in a row. The results is copied to a target item in the same row.
A table can have many row operations, but the each field
is limited to one operation. Once a row operation is set, it remains
and can be modified, but not removed. To add a row operation to a
table:
- Select the table.
Note: Ensure the entire table
is highlighted, rather than one specific label or field.
- Right-click and click Table Row Operation Wizard.
- From the Choose a Field list, select
the item where the results of the row operation are stored. You can
select the field where results are stored by either:
- Clicking on a field listed in the popup. A list of items in
the table is displayed.
- Clicking to select a field within the table.
The Compute Wizard window shrinks so you can
choose the items from the form. Select the item you want to use. Once
all items are selected, the Compute Wizard window
expands.
- Click Next.
- Select the fields and operators by either selecting the
name from the dropdown list, or clicking the icon.
The operation you create is displayed
under Resulting Operation: .
- Click Finish to set the row operator.
When the user enters information into the fields, the operation will compile the information and display results in the
selected field.
