Accessibility features for Webform Server

Accessibility features assist users who have a disability, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use information technology content successfully.

IBM® Forms Server – Webform Server uses the latest W3C Standard, WAI-ARIA 1.0, to ensure compliance to US Section 508 , and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. Form design is a factor to ensure that the proper content is provided when creating your form, like any other web page, but following best practices, a compliant form is generated by Webform Server. Further information can be found on IBM’s Accessibility Information web page which includes the ability to request the WCAG compliance checklist for IBM Forms.

End-users canview and fill the forms without installing any client software. Instead, the user works with an enhanced HTML form in their regular Web browser. However, because there is no client software, Webform Server does not offer all of the functionality available with IBM Forms Viewer.

The Webform Server online product documentation in IBM Knowledge Center is enabled for accessibility. The accessibility features of IBM Knowledge Center are described at http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/doc/kc_help.html#accessibility.

The Webform Server web user interface includes WAI-ARIA navigational landmarks that you can use to quickly navigate to functional areas in the application.
