Troubleshooting the installation

You can perform several tests if Webform Server does not appear to be operating correctly.

If Webform Server is not working properly after installation, check the following:

Ensure that port 8085 is not used by other applications on the system.
Ensure that the Translator is running.
- If you are using Windows™, ensure that the following service is operating correctly:
  - IBM® WebSphere® Application Vx IBMWebformServerTranslatorxx (Translator in WebSphere Application Server)
- If you are using Linux™, run the following command to determine the Translator server's status:
```
<WebSphere_Application_Server_Install_Dir>/AppServer/bin/serverStatus.sh TranslatorServer
```
If you are using DB2®, test the connection to the database using the WebSphere administrative console.
